पंचकर्म –

योगा –
आजकल की भागदौड़ भरी जिंदगी में तनाव और स्ट्रेस हर बीमारी का महत्वपूर्ण कारण है। योगा एक ऐसा व्यायाम है कि जिसमें हम बहुत ही संथ गती से श्वास अंदर लेते है और श्वास बाहर निकालते है। इस वजह से अपना मन और शरीर शांत हो जाता है और हम निरोगी रहते है। योगा करने से शरीर और मन का तनाव भी निकल जाता है। योगा के साथ मुद्रा करे और मंत्र कहे तो हमारे शरीर मे सकारात्मक ऊर्जा बनती है। वह भी हमे निरोगी रखने मे मदद करती है। और संतुलित शरीर और मन में ही हेल्दी प्रेगनेंसी, हेल्दी बेबी , हेल्थी मदरहूड पाई जा सकती है।
जीवनशैली में परिवर्तन

Panchakarma, Panchakarma, Panchakarma….. we had a lot about panchakarma now adays. Someone says panchakarma is massage, someone says panchakarma is vomitting , loose motion, procedure.
Not many know what is actual panchakarma?
So let’s understand in todys blog
What is PANCHAKARMA?
PANCH means = FIVE and
KARMA means = PROCEDURES
Panchakarma means “Five procedure which Purification your body and Strengthening your body.“
Five procedure of Purification of the body are
And five procedure for Strengthening body are
Nasya and basti are included in both the Karmas. why ?
Because according to the oil, ghee or kadha use in nasya and basti, these procedures give either the benefit of purification or strengthening of body.
So let us first understand about Body Purification Panchakarma.
In today’s blog we are discuss about VAMAN and VIRECHAN.
VAMAN and VIRECHAN
1. DURATION: 15 DAYS
Vaman and Virechan Panchkarma are of 15 days duration. The science behind vaman and virechan is that here your digestive system is use for purification. So during the procedure your digested system should be given a rest from everyday digestion procedure. Hence the mantra for these procedures is-
Mantra – Eating only that much food which is needed for survival.
This mantra you have to follow for 15 days. Let understand this concept with an example.Suppose if a machine is put on purification mode, then it’s main function should be stopped till the time it is getting cleaned up.
Same ways,when we want our body machine to be purified , then it’s main function of digestion should be given a break so that our body uses its digesting system for it’s own purification.
2. PROCEDURE(VIDHI) :
Procedure means Vidhi.
Vaman and Virechan Procedure is divided into 4 part.
1. Snehapan :
Snehapan means to consume Medicated Ghee.
This Karma last for roughly 6 to 7 days.
In this Karma ,in the morning on empty stomach patient is given MEDICATED GHEE to consume in increasing order of quantity. i.e on first day you have to consume 4 teaspoon ghee , 2nd day 8 teaspoon, then 10, 12, 16 and so on.
When you consume Medicated Ghee and you don’t get burp of odour of the ghee that means ghee is digested. Then rest of the day you are advised to consume Moong dal Khichadi. i.e Rice and Moong Dal preparation whenever you feel hungry and whenever you feel thirsty you have to drink only Warm Water.
By consumeing ghee in large quantities the toxins of the body get’s Liquified.
Then after Snehapaan Snehan i.e.Massage and Swedan i.e. Steambath is done. Here the role of Snehan and Swedan can be explained with an example – When your are cleaning your house ,the dirt falls on the floor then you have to collect the dirt at one place first before you throw it out. In the same way when we are purifying the body, with snehapaan the toxins of the body are liquefied then first we have to bring it to one place and then throw them out through nearest way. This bringing of toxins from the extremities into the center of body before throwing them out is done by Snehan and Sweden. This is the role of massage and steam in this panchakarma procedure.
2. Pradhan Karma :
After snehapan , snehan and swedan procedures, the toxins come to the center of body, from there we have to throw them out through the nearest opening of the body.
If these toxins try to come out by vomitting , then kadhas are given to drink and vomiting is induced. This procedure of throwing out toxins from body by induced Vomitting is called as VAMAN
And if these toxins try to come out by loose motions , then tablets are given to induce loose motions . This procedure of throwing out toxins from body by induced Purgation is called VIRECHANA.
3. Sansarjan Kram :
This kram starts from 10th day of therapy and ends on 15th day. Sansarjan Kram means the order in which we have to start eating food after therapy. We slowly start from liquid diet then semi solid and finally solid normal diet. Vaman and Virechan Karma are as good as upvas i.e dieting as we eat very little food only khichadi during the therapy.So after finishing the therapy following the diet routine is very important.So this order beginning with light to digest food and then heavy to digest food is called Sansarjan Kram.
4. Apunarbhav chikitsa :
Apunarbhav chikitsa is a very unique form of chikitsa told by Ayurveda. Apunarbhav means Preventive medicine. This is advised so that the disease doesn’t recur. After Pradhan Karma (vaman and virechan) starts Apunarbhav chikitsa. In this therapy, such medicines and medicated ghee are given for next 15 days to one month which increases immunity.
What time of year should we do Vaman and Virechan?
In healthy people in Vasant hritu that is ruffly in March/ April one should get Vaman Karma done and in Sharad hritu that is ruffly in September/ October one should get Virechan Karma done. And does our disease they should consult Vaidya first and then according to the simiralities our disease they should get Vaman and aur Virechan Karma done.
So how will we know that we have to get Vaman Karma done and Virechan Karma Done. For that to you need to consult Vaidya properly.
The person who has cough prakruti and who are suffering from cough diseases, like cough, cold, Joint pain, Asthma, Diabetes, Thyroid, Skin diseases like Eczema, Soriasis they should good go for Vaman Panchakarma.
The people who are Pittah Prakruti and who are suffering from Pittah diseases, like recurrent Headache, Migraine, Acidity, Gases, Constipation, Infertility, Various Period problem such people should go for Virechan Panchakarma.
What are the benefits of vaman and Virechan?
1. The most important is Body purification.
2. Body strengthening.
3. Apunarbhav chikitsa that is your immunity increases.
So how many times in a year should we do Vaman and Virechan?
As we cleaner on once a year same bases you can get your body clean buy Vaman and Virechan after consulting a vaidya.

पंचकर्म, पंचकर्म, पंचकर्म….आज काल आपण सगळीकडे ऐकतो कि पंचकर्म म्हणजे तेलाने मसाज, पंचकर्म म्हणजे जुलाब, उलट्या वगैरे.
पण पंचकर्म म्हणजे नेमके काय ?
चला मग जाणून घेऊन आपल्या आजच्या ब्लॉग मध्ये ‘पंचकर्म म्हणजे काय ?‘
पंचकर्म –
पंच म्हणजे ५ आणि कर्म म्हणजे क्रिया.
पंचकर्म म्हणजे अश्या ५ क्रिया ज्याने शरीराची शुद्धी होते किंवा शरीराला ताकत मिळते.
1. वमन
2. विरेचन
3. बस्ती
4. नस्य
5. रक्तमोक्षण
1. स्नेहन
2. स्वेदन
3. नस्य
4. शिरोधारा
5. बस्ती
नस्य आणि बस्ती यांचा दोन्ही पंचकर्ममध्ये समावेश होतो कारण नस्य आणि बस्ती ह्या कर्मासाठी ज्या प्रकारचे तेल, तूप, काढे वापरले जातात त्यानुसार त्यांनी शरीरशुद्धी होते किंवा शरीराला ताकत मिळते हे ठरते . त्यामुळे त्यांचा दोन्ही पंचकर्मात समावेश होतो.
पहिले जाणून घेऊया शरीरशुद्धी पंचकर्माबद्दल
वमन व विरेचन
कालावधी – वमन व विरेचन या शरीरशुद्धी क्रियेसाठी १५ दिवसांचा कालावधी लागतो.
शास्त्र – या क्रियेमध्ये तुमची पचन शक्ति ही शरीरशुद्धीसाठी वापरली जाते. त्यामुळे ‘जगण्यापूरते खाणे’ हा मंत्र १५ दिवस पाळवा लागतो . म्हणजे या शरीरशुद्धी क्रियेमध्ये पचनशक्तिला त्याच्या नेहमीच्या पचनक्रियेपासून विश्रांती द्यावी लागते आणि त्या पचनशक्तिचा शरीरशुद्धीसाठी वापर करायचा असतो हा येथे हेतू असतो .
विधी – वमन/विरेचन विधी हा चार विभागात विभागला जातो.
1. स्नेहपान – वाढत्या प्रमाणात औषधी तूप सेवन करणे.
हा विधी साधारण ५ ते ६ दिवस चालतो. ह्या क्रियेमध्ये वाढत्या प्रमाणात औंषधी तूप पिण्यास देतात . वाढत्या प्रमाणात म्हणजे पहिल्या दिवशी ४ चमचे, दुसऱ्या दिवशी ८ चमचे मग १२, १६ असे. तूप पिल्यावर गरम पाणी पित राहणे आणि जेव्हा तूपाचे ढेकर यायचे बंद होतील, म्हणजे तूप पचले आहे. त्यानंतर तहाण लागेल तेव्हा गरम पाणी पिणे आणि भूक लागेल तेव्हा मूग आणि भाताची खिचडी खाणे हा सर्वसामान्य विधी असतो.
या औषधी तूपामुळे आपल्या शरीरातील आम (टॉक्सिन्स) पातळ होतो.
त्यानंतर स्नेहन म्हणजे मसाज आणि स्वेदन म्हणजे स्टीमबाथ दिली जाते .
स्नेहन व स्वेदन-इथे स्नेहन व स्वेदनामुळे शरीरातील पातळ झालेला आम (टॉक्सिन्स) शरीराच्या मध्य भागी आणणे हा उदेशअसतो. ज्याप्रमाणे आपण घराची साफ सफाई केल्यावर कचरा खाली पडतो मग आपण तो कचरा गोळा करतो आणि नंतर बाहेर फेकतो. त्याप्रमाणे स्नेहपान क्रियेमुळे शरीरातले आम (टॉक्सिन्स) पातळ झाल्यावर स्नेहन स्वेदन कर्मामुळे सर्व आम (टॉक्सिन्स) शरीरातील मध्यभागी आणला जातो .
2. प्रधान कर्म –
स्नेहन आणि स्वेदनकर्म झाल्यानंतर जेव्हा हा आम (टॉक्सिन्स) उलटी द्वारे बाहेर काढला जातो तेव्हा त्या कर्मास वमन कर्म असे म्हणतात आणि जर हा आम (टॉक्सिन्स) जुलाबांद्वारे बाहेर काढला जातो तेव्हा त्या कर्मास विरेचन असे म्हणतात.
3. संसर्जन कर्म –
हा विधी १० व्या दिवसापासून १५ व्या दिवसापर्यंत असतो. उपवास सोडताना जसे आपण पहिले हलके अन्न खातो व नंतर हळूहळू जड अन्न खाण्यास सुरुवात करतो त्याप्रमाणे वमन आणि विरेचन या विधीत आपला एकप्रकारे उपवासच होतो. त्यामुळे प्रधान कर्मानंतर आपण हळुहळु हलके अन्न खाण्यास सुरुवात करतो जसे पहिल्या दिवशी भाताची पेज, नंतर मऊ भात, मग खिचडी, भाकरी. असे हळु हळु पचनास जड पदार्थ क्रमाने खाण्यास सुरुवात करतात म्हणून या विधीस संसर्जन क्रम असे म्हणतात .
अपुनर्भव चिकित्सा –
अपुनर्भव म्हणजे ‘आजार परत होऊ नये म्हणून करावयाची चिकित्सा’ म्हणजे Preventive treatment. या विधीमध्ये पंचकर्म शरीरशुद्धी झाल्यावर शरीराला ताकत देण्यासाठी व परत आजार होऊ नये म्हणून पुढे १५ दिवस औषधे ,औषधी तूप , रसायन कल्प दिले जातात , ज्यांचा सेवनाने आपली प्रतिकार शक्ती वाढते आणि आपल्याला आजार होत नाही.
वमन आणि विरेचन कधी करावे ?
निरोगी व्यक्तीनी वसंत ऋतु मध्ये म्हणजे फेब्रुवारी/मार्च मध्ये वमन करून घ्यावे आणि शरद ऋतुमध्ये म्हणजे सप्टेंबर /ऑक्टोबर मध्ये विरेचन कर्म करून घ्यावे.
आजारी व्यक्तीनी पंचकर्म कधी करावे?
ज्यांना आजार असेल त्यांनी वैद्याच्या सल्यानुसार आणि आजाराच्या गांभीर्यानुसार वर्षभरात कधीही वमन किंवा विरेचन हे कर्म करून घ्यावे.
वमन/विरेचन कर्मापैकी कोणते कर्म कोणी करावे?
त्यासाठी सुद्धा वैद्याचा सल्ला घेणे आवश्यक आहे.
तरी ढोबळ मानाने कफ प्रकृतीच्या लोकांनी आणि ज्यांना कफाचे आजार आहेत जसे जुनाट सर्दी, खोकला, दमा, स्रावी त्वचारोग, स्थौल्य, थाईरॉईड, मधुमेह आदि त्यांनी वमन कर्म करून घ्यावे आणि ज्या लोकांची प्रकृती पित्ताची आहे आणि ज्यांना पित्ताचे आजार आहेत जसे डोकेदुखी, एसिडिटी, गॅसेस,पचनाचे विकार, पाळीच्या तक्रारी, त्वचारोग आदि अशा लोकांनी विरेचन कर्म करून घ्यावे .
वर्षातून किती वेळा पंचकर्म करावे?
घराची साफसफाई जशी आपण वर्षातून एकदा करतो त्याप्रमाणे वर्षातून एकदा वमन किंवा विरेचन कर्म आपल्या प्रकृती व आजारानुसार करवून घ्यावे .
फायदे –
१. शरीरशुद्धी होते.
२. शरीराला ताकत मिळते.
३.अपुनर्भव चिकित्सा – या विधीमुळे आपली प्रतिकार शक्ती वाढते.

मागच्या ब्लॉग मध्ये आपण ‘ऑक्टोबरचा आरोग्य मंत्र’ हा विषय जाणून घेतला.ऑक्टोबरच्या उन्हाळ्यात विविध प्रकारचे आजार होतात. त्यापैकी मूळव्याध हा अत्यंत त्रासदायक आणि खूप वेदनायुक्त आजार आहे.
आजचा आपला विषय आहे – मूळव्याध
पहिले जाणून घेऊया मूळव्याध हा आजार कोणाला जास्त संभवतो?
जे लोक अधिक प्रमाणात मांसाहार, तिखट पदार्थ, मसाल्याचे पदार्थ यांचे सेवन करतात आणि ज्यांना मलबद्धतेचा त्रास असतो त्या लोकांना हा आजार जास्त संभवतो.
मूळव्याध होऊ नये म्हणून काय काळजी घ्यावी?
१. मलबद्धता होऊ न देणे.
२. उन्हाळ्यात निरोगी राहण्यासाठी आरोग्य मंत्राचे पालन करावे.
‘ऑक्टोबरचा आरोग्य मंत्र’ आहे
“पांढरे, गोड, पानीयुक्त, नारळयुक्त आणि उकडलेल्या पदार्थाचे उन्हाळ्यात अधिक सेवन करावे. “
१. पांढरा रंग हा पित्तशामक आहे. तो शीतता प्रदान करतो. त्यामुळे पांढऱ्या रंगाचे पदार्थ हे शरीरातले पित्त संतुलित ठेवतात म्हणून पांढऱ्या रंगाचे पदार्थ अधिक खावेत जसे दूध, दूधाचे पदार्थ, तूप, लोणी, ताक. उन्हाळ्यात जेवणामधे ताकाचे खूप जास्त प्रमाणात सेवन करावे कारण ताक मूळव्याधीवर खूप गुणकारी आहे.
२.पांढऱ्या रंगाची फळे ही पित्त शमन करतात आणि पोट सुध्दा साफ ठेवतात. त्यामुळे उन्हाळ्यात पांढऱ्या रंगाच्या फळांचे अधिक सेवन करावे जसे पेरू, सफरचंद, केळी, पिअर आदि
३) हिरवी मिरची, आले, लसूण आणि मिरे हे जेवणात टाळावे. उन्हाळ्यात हिरवी मिरची कच्च्या स्वरूपात अधिक प्रमाणात खाण्यात आली जसे चटणी, पाणीपुरी मधे तर मूळव्याधीतून रक्त पडायला सुरुवात होते.
मूळव्याधीतून पडणारे रक्त कसे थांबवावे?
मूळव्याधीतून पडणारे रक्त थांबवण्यासाठी कांदा सालीसोबत गॅस वर भाजावा नंतर साल काढून नुस्ता कांद्याचे सेवन करावे किंवा कांद्याचे दहीसोबत सेवन करावे. या उपायाने मूळव्याधीतून पडणारे रक्त लगेचच थांबते.
मूळव्याध झाल्यावर काय पथ्य करावे?
१) हिरवी मिरची, आले, लसूण, मिरे यांचे सेवन पूर्णतः बंद करावे.
२) जेवणामध्ये ताकाचे प्रमाण अधिक वाढावावे.
३) आठवड्यातून २-३ वेळा सुरणाच्या भाजीचे सेवन करावे.
सुरणाची भाजी बनवण्याच्या आधी सुरण कापून ते ताकामध्ये भिजत टाकावे त्यामुळे सुरणातले क्षार ताकामध्ये विरघळतात. क्षारासोबत सुरणाच्या भाजीचे सेवन केले तर जीभ , घशाला खाज सुटणे,मुतखडा, संधिवात यासारखे आजार होण्याची संभावना असते.
जर मूळव्याधी बरोबर आपल्याला मलबद्धता असेल तर जेवणाआधी गरम पाणी किंवा गरम दुधात एक चमचा तूप किंवा एक चमचा बदाम तेल मिसळून त्याचे सेवन करावे. याने मलबद्धता जाते, गॅसेस कमी होतात आणि मूळव्याधीच्या ठिकाणी असलेली रुक्षता व आग कमी होते.
तसेच रोज सकाळ-संध्याकाळ एक चमचा त्रिफळा चूर्ण किंवा एक त्रिफळा गोळीचे उपाशीपोटी गरम पाण्यासोबत सेवन करावे.
या सर्व उपायांनी मूळव्याधीच्या त्रासापासून तुम्हाला उपशय जरूर मिळेल.
तरीही एकदा वैद्य किंवा डॉक्टरांचा सल्ला जरूर घ्या आणि आयुर्वेदाच्या पंचकर्मामधील ‘क्षारसूत्र’ या विधीमुळे मूळव्याध हा मुळातून काढता येतो त्याचा उपयोग जरूर करून घ्या.
उन्हाळ्यातील विविध आजारांपासून वाचण्यासाठी ‘ऑक्टोबरचा आरोग्य मंत्र’ याचे पालन करा .

ऑक्टोबर सुरू झाला………. गरमी सुरू झाली आणि त्यासोबत सुरू झाले गरमीचे सर्व आजार जसे घामोळ्या, नाकातून रक्त येणे, पोटदुखी, डोकेदुखी, माइग्रेन , मूलव्याधि आदि
या आजारांपासून आपण कसे वाचू शकतो?
सणांच्या मदतीने.
ते कसे? चला जाणून घेऊया.
प्रत्येक सण, परंपरा या धार्मिक गोष्टिंच्या मागे शास्त्र असते. लोकांचे आरोग्य चांगले रहावे म्हणून आपल्या ऋषिंनी शास्त्र आणि धर्माची सांगड घातली आणि शास्रांचे सिद्धान्त धर्माबरोबर बसवले जेणेकरून सर्व जणांनी धर्माचे पालन केले तर शास्त्राचे पालन होईल आणि समाजातील सर्व लोक निरोगी राहतील .
सण सुद्धा कधीही येत नाहीत. सण शास्त्रीय दृष्टीने बसवलेले असतात.
सण ऋतुंच्या संधीला येतात. जसे उन्हाळ्याच्या आधी गणपती, हिवाळ्याच्या आधी दिवाळी. सण आपल्याला शिकवतात की पुढे येणाऱ्या ऋतुमध्ये आहार-विहार मध्ये काय बदल केल्याने आपण निरोगी राहू शकतो.
ते कसे ते जाणन्यासाठी सणांच्या मागील शास्त्र समजून घेऊया .
ऑक्टोबरच्या आधी गणपती सण येतो. आपल्या सगळ्यांचे आवडते गणपती बाप्पा.
आपण कधी विचार केला आहे का कि गणपती चकली, चिवडा का नाही खात?
कारण गणपती नंतर ऑक्टोबर ची गरमी येणार असते. ऑक्टोबर ऋतूमध्ये निरोगी राहाण्यासाठी जे योग्य आहार ते आपण गणपतीला प्रसाद म्हणून चढवतो. म्हणजे प्रत्येक सणाला सांगितलेला आहार विहार हा आपल्याला प्रतिकात्मक सांगतो की येणाऱ्या ऋतुमधे आहार विहारामधे काय बदल केल्याने आपण निरोगी राहू शकतो.ऑक्टोबरमध्ये खुप गरमी असते त्यामुळे गणपतीला प्रसाद म्हणून असे पदार्थ चढवतात जे उन्हाळ्यात आपल्याला निरोगी ठेवतील. मोदक प्रतीकात्मक सांगतो की उकडलेले पदार्थ खा म्हणजे उन्हाळ्यात तहान तहान होणार नाही , पित्त संतुलित राहिल , गरमीचे आजार होणार नाहीत. म्हणून गणपति चकली , चिवड़ा नाही खात.
ऑक्टोबरचा आरोग्य मंत्र आहे.
पांढरे, गोड, उकडलेले, नारळयुक्त आणि पाणीदार पदार्थांचे सेवन करावे.
१) ऑक्टोबर मध्ये पित्त खूप भडकते आणि पांढऱ्या रंगांचे पदार्थ पित्त कमी करतात. त्यामुळे त्यांचे अधिक सेवन करावे.
२) मधुर रस पित्त शामक असतो म्हणजे पित्त कमी करतो म्हणून ह्या ऋतुमधे गोड़ पदार्थ खावेत.
३) ऑक्टोबर मध्ये गर्मी खूप असते. ह्या गरमीमध्ये जर आपण तळलेले पदार्थ खाल्ले तर पित्त वाढते आणि तहान लागते. त्यामुळे ऑक्टोबर मध्ये उकडलेल्या पदार्थांचे सेवन जास्त करावे.
४) जेवणामध्ये नारळाचा उपयोग जास्त करावा. नारळ पांढरा रंगाचा, गोड आणि पाणीयुक्त आहे. त्यामुळे उन्हाळ्यात याचा जेवणात अधिक प्रमाणात उपयोग केला तर पित्त संतुलित रहाते आणि शरीर निरोगी राहते. जसे नारळाचे वाटप, नारळाचे दूध, नारळाचे पाणी,नारळाचा खीस आदि
५) या ऋतूत गुणाने थंड असलेले पेय यांचे अधिक सेवन करावेत. कारण ऑक्टोबरच्या गरमी मुळे शरीरातून घामाद्वारे पाणी आणि क्षार अधिक प्रमाणात बाहेर निघुन जातात त्यामुळे शरीरातील पानी आणि इलेक्ट्रोलाइट चे संतुलन ठेवण्यासाठी विविध प्रकारचे सरबत थोडे मीठ घालून सेवन करावेत जसे खसबसरबत, सोलकढी , लिम्बु सरबत , उसाचा रस यांचे अधिक प्रमाणात सेवन करावे.
अशा रीतीने शास्त्रीयदृष्ट्या आपण सणांचे पालन केले तर प्रत्येक ऋतूत आपण निरोगी राहू.
आश्चर्यचकित झालात ना ऐकून की सणाच्यामागे सुद्धा एवढा शास्त्रीय विचार आहे. तर चला मग प्रत्येक सणाकडे आज पासून डोळसपणे बघूया.
प्रत्येक ऋतुच्या आरोग्य मंत्राचे पालन करूया. त्याची सुरुवात ह्या ऑक्टोबर पासून ऑक्टोबरचा आरोग्य मंत्र पालुन करूया.

Our today’s topic is – Fissure and Piles
Fissure and Piles are very troublesome and painful diseases as they hamper our daily activities. And if bleeding starts from fissure and piles then the trouble doubles and leads to lot of weakness too.
So let us understand
Who are more prone to having fissure and piles?
People who consume spicy food, non veg and those who are constipated ,they suffer more from this disease.
How to prevent these diseases?
1) Avoid getting constipated.
2) Follow “HEALTH MANTRA”of summer season.

So ‘HEALTH MANTRA’ for summer is –
“Eat Sweet, White, Watery, Coconut and Boiled food to avoid diseases of summer season.“
So what to eat?
In summer season if you don’t follow HEALTH MANTRA and eat lot of spicy food likes raw green chillies in form of chutney, sandwich, pani puri then bleeding starts from fissure and piles.
How to stop this bleeding?
Simple home remedy is –
ONION – Roast onion on the stove with the peels then take out the peels and consume it or have onion with curd. This remedy immediately stops bleeding from fissure and piles.
What diet changes to do if you get fissure and/or piles ?
1) Completely stop green chillies, pepper, ginger, garlic.
2) Consume a lot of buttermilk in both meals.
3) Eat SURAN vegetable. i.e. Elephant yam atleast 2-3 times in a week.
Before making SURAN vegetable, soak suran in buttermilk for an hour then wash it with warm water. As suran contains alot of calcium oxalates it should be soaked in buttermilk to remove oxalates. Eating suraj in raw form causes throat, tongue irritation and increases chances of joint pain as well as kidney stone.
4. Avoid eating green leafy vegetables and salads as fibres in them rub against pile mass and fissure and thus aggregates pain.
If you are constipated – to relief constipation consume 1 cup milk or 1 cup warm water added with 1 teaspoon of ghee or one teaspoon of almond oil before meals. This relieves constipation and flatus, as well as soothens anal skin and thus eases irritation and burning in anal area.
5. Every day in the morning and at night consume 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder or 2 tablets of Triphala on empty stomach with warm water.
All these home remedies will act as preventive measures against fissure and piles or will relieve your symptoms of fissure and piles.
But still you need to consult a doctor to treat the root cause.
In panchakarma,a therapy called KSHARSUTRA cuts the pile mass from the base and thus removes it completely.
So do take advantage of Ayurveda to stay completely away from fissure and piles.

आज का हमारा विषय है – बवासीर
बवासीर यह बहुत ही वेदनायुक्त और तकलीफ देने वाली बीमारी है| क्योंकि हर वक्त उठते बैठते यह बीमारी बहुत परेशानी देती है और अगर बवासीर से खून गिरने लगे तो दर्द और परेशानी के साथ कमजोरी और टेंशन भी बढ़ने लगता है|
बवासीर किन लोगों में ज्यादा होता है?
जो लोग ज्यादा तीखा , ज्यादा मांसाहार खाते है और जिनको मलबद्धता की तकलीफ होती हैं उनमे बवासीर ज्यादा पाया जाता है|
इस बवासीर की बीमारी से कैसे बचे?
१)मलबद्धता मत होने दिजिए।
२) गर्मी के लिए बताए गए आरोग्य मंत्र का पालन करें|

गर्मी का आरोग्यमंत्र है–
सफेद, मीठे, पानीयुक्त, नारियल युक्त और उबाले हुए पदार्थ खाए।
अगर बवासीर से खून गिरने लगे तो क्या करें?
गर्मी में अगर हम कच्ची हरी मिर्च का सेवन करेंगे जैसे चटनी, पाणी पूरी आदि में तो बवासीर से खून गिरने लगता है |
बवासीर होने पर हमे क्या परहेज करने चाहिए ?
सूरन की सब्जी बनाते वक्त पहले सूरन को एक घंटा छाछ में भिगोकर फिर गरम पानी सेअच्छे से धो दें। इससे सूरन में जो क्षार होते है वह निकल जाते है| सूरन को ऐसे नहीं पकाया तो उससे गले में खराश, पथरी ,संधिवात जैसी बीमारिया होने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है|
अगर आपको बवासीर के साथ मलबद्धता हो तो खाने से पहले गरम पानी या गरम दूध में एक चम्मच घी या बादाम का तेल मिलाकर उसका सेवन करें। इससे पेट अच्छे से साफ होता है, बवासीर की जगह की जलन कम होती है और उधर की त्वचा में आया हुआ रूखापन कम होता है|
इस तरह परहेज और घरेलू नुस्को से आपको बवासीर में काफी राहत मिल जाएगी। लेकिन बवासीर को जड़ से मिटाने के लिए आप वैद्य और डॉक्टर की सलाह जरूर लीजिये| पंचकर्म के क्षारसूत्र कर्म से बवासीर जड से निकलता है ।

In Treasures of Ayurveda, We are going to give you a different perspective of looking at health which is going to keep you healthy.
So today’s topic is – “Respect food”.
Whole universe is made up of energy. Energy is transformed from one form into another along with information. If energy goes with wrong information then output is wrong. Same applies to food energy too.
We get energy from food we eat.
Food is full of energy and information. It is not a dead thing. The same food is making us everyday. The same food is making each cell of our body. It’s a big magic…. it’s a big transformation.
So Ayurveda calls it YAGYA…that’s a ritual. Because nothing in this whole universe can make you other than food.
No wealth, no material can make you. So we should look at food with a gratitude and respect.
Only making healthy food is not sufficient to remain healthy. But while making and eating food ,there should be correct information in the mind i.e. positive thoughts and vibes. Because those thoughts, vibes in the form of information are going to guide the food energy to get transformed into body cell. So if bad vibes go with food then ofcourse the end result will be bad ….
Nowadays we watch TV , play on mobile , listen to music while eating food…..so the result is n number of diseases are also increasing like diabetes, cancer and we don’t know the answer to these diseases.
Why this is happening ?
So ayurveda tells you a different perspective ……
That is this miraculous transformation of converting food to body cells should go with correct information.
So ayurveda has told few rules while eating and making food.
So the food with the correct information that”Please God…make me healthy with this food.” is going inside you and making you correctly….i.e. healthy.
If we are not paying attention to food while eating then we suffer different diseases like cancer….cancer cell gets wrong information and one cell gets divided into thousand cells …..so from where did this faulty information go to the cell? Ofcourse while making and eating food.
So we should not treat food as entertainment.
Food is God. We should respect FOOD.
You tell your food to make you healthy, you send in correct information and you become and remain healthy
So being healthy is in your hand.
Think healthy and be healthy and “Respect Your Food”

आज हम आहार के प्रति नए दृष्टिकोण के बारे मे जानेंगे |
आहार से हमे ऊर्जा मिलती है|
हम जो अन्न खाते है उसीसे हमारे शरीर की हर एक पेशी बनती है।आहार को पुराने जमाने मे यज्ञ माना जाता था |
इसलिए हमे आहार के प्रति एक अलग दृष्टिकोन जानना बहुत जरूरी है|आहार सजीव है ,उसमे ऊर्जा है|आहार की यह ऊर्जा अगर सही जानकारी के साथ शरीर मे जाए तो हम निरोगी रहते है |
आयुर्वेद ने बताया है की खाना खाते वक्त कुछभी काम नही करना चाहिए |
1 . खाना खाते वक्त हमारा मन शांत होना चाहिए | खाना खाते वक्त मन मे जो विचार होते है वही विचार हम अन्न के साथ शरीर मे लेते है और हम उसी तरह बनते है|
2 . खाना खाते समय टी.वी, मोबाइल बंद रखना चाहिए – खाना खाते समय टी.वी, मोबाइल, विडियो कुछ भी चालू नही रखना चाहिए| क्यूकी हमारा ध्यान उन चीज़ों में जाता है | इससे हम क्या खा रहे है हमे पता नही होता | टीवी, मोबाईल के विचार अन्न के साथ शरीर मे जाते है और इस गलत जानकारी के कारण हमारे शरीर का संतुलन बिगड़ जाता है। हमे अलग अलग बीमारियाँ होने लगती है |
आहार यज्ञ है | आहार हमे हर रोज बना रहा है | उस आहार के साथ हम जो जानकारी शरीर के भीतर भेजते है हमारे शरीर की हर एक पेशी उस गुण की बनती है।
इसलिए सौ बीमारियो का एक इलाज है अन्न खाते वक्त हमारा पूरा ध्यान खाने पर होना चाहिए |
पहले हात जोड कर नमस्कार करना चाहिए | फिर एक पौजेटिव ऊर्जा खाने मे डाले । यह एक यज्ञ है | एक बहुत अद्भुत परिवर्तन है । रोटी ,सब्जी, दाल ,चावल से शरीर की हर एक पेशी बनाना आम बात नही है। अन्न की ऊर्जा का शरीर पेशी में परिवर्तन होते वक्त उसके साथ सही जानकारी information जानी चाहिए तब यह परिवर्तन सही होगा और निरोगी पेशीया बनेगी|जैसे कंप्यूटर मे हमने अगर गलत information जानकारी डाली तो हमे गलत result मिलेगा। पेशी निरोगी होगी तो वह अपना काम सही करेगी।और सब पेशियां अपना काम सही करने लगेगी तो हमे बीमारियां नही होगी।सिर्फ हेल्दी खाना पकाने से फायदा नही है | जब हम खाना खा रहे है उस समय जो वातावरण है वह भी सही चाहिए, अपना मन शांत होना चाहिए और उसके साथ हम जो जानकारी भेज रहे है वह भी सही होनी चाहिये |
यह दृष्टिकोण का हमारे खुद के लिए और विशेष करके छोटे बच्चो के लिए पालन करना बहुत जरूरी है, कि खाना खाते वक्त टी.वी, मोबाइल बंद होने चाहिये और खाते वक्त हमारा पूरा ध्यान खाने पर होना चाहिए |
इस तरह से हम अपने जीवनशैली की छोटी छोटी चीजों मे अगर बदलाव करे तो हम निरोगी रहते है। विशेष रूप से आहार में।

Have you ever wondered why Ganapatiji eat only modak and not chakali chiwda ?
The question is very interesting so is the answer.
Ganapati festival comes before October heat. And as we have learnt in last blog – The science behind festivals i.e. festivals advice us what changes to do in diet and routine according season change to remain healthy.
Ganapati festival marks the season change from rainy season to summer season. In summer season if we eat fried food like chakali, chiwda then it leads to increasing thurst as well as Pittah in the body.
According to ayurveda, october is Pittah Prakop Kaal i.e. it increases lot of Pittah in the body and leads to Pittah diseases like headache, migraine, fissure, piles, acidity etc.
Ganapati festival advices us what diet changes to do in October to remain healthy.
These are have food which have Pittah Shamak properties that is eat “White, Watery, Sweet, Coconut and boiled food. “
All these qualities are there in Modak. So we offer modak to Ganapatiji as Prasad. Thus Modak symbolically tell us what diet changes to be made in October to remain healthy.
All these food are Pittah Shamak i.e. they balance Pittah in body and thus keep us healthy in October.
So now you know why ganpatiji eats Modak.
So follow Health Mantra advised by Ganapatiji to remain healthy in October that is
Eat White, Watery, Sweet, Coconut & boiled food.

आपने कभी सोचा गणपती जी मोदक ही क्यों खाते है ? चकली चिवडा क्यों नही खाते ?
सवाल जितना दिलजस्प है, जवाब भी उतना ही दिलजस्प है।
गणपती अक्टूबर की गर्मी के पहले आते है। और जैसे हमने पिछले ब्लॉग मे जाना ।
त्यौहार हमे ऋतु के नुसार आहार-विहार में क्या बदलाव करने चाहिए यह सिखाते है।
गणपती के बाद अक्टूबर की गर्मी आती है। गर्मी मे हम अगर बेसन की तली हुए चीजे जैसे चकली, चिवडा खाए तो प्यास और शरीर मे पित्त बढता है।
आयुर्वेद के नुसार अक्टूबर पित्त प्रकोप का काल है । इसलिए अक्टूबर मे पित्त बढाने वाली चीजे खाने से हमे सिरदर्द, पाइल्स, फिशर (बवासीर), पेट खराब होना, एसिडिटी ऐसी बिमारिया होती है। इसलिए अक्टूबर मे निरोगी रहने के लिए क्या खाना चाहिए यह बताने के लिए गणपती का त्यौहार आता है।
गर्मी मे पित्त कम करने वाली चिजे खानी चाहिए । जैसे सफेद, मीठे, पानीयुक्त, नारियल युक्त और उबाले हुए पदार्थ।
यह सब गुण तो मोदक मे है।
इसलिए गणपती को हम मोदक प्रसाद मे चढाते है। क्योंकि मोदक हमे प्रतिकात्मक समझाते है की अक्टूबर मे निरोगी रहने के लिए यह गुणवाले पदार्थ खाने चाहिए।

अक्टूबर का इम्युनिटी बूस्टर – नारियल भाग-१ इस ब्लॉग मे हमने जाना की नारियल आकाश मे उत्पन्न होता है| इसलिए उसमे आकाश तत्व की अधिकता होती है| और इसी कारन नारियल शरीर के आकाशतत्व वाले अवयव जैसे सिर, कान, पेट इनपर अच्छा काम करता है|
पिछले ब्लॉग मे हमने जाना की नारियल सिर और कान पर कैसे गुणकारी है और आज के ब्लॉग मे हम जानेंगे की नारियल ये पेट के लिए कैसे गुणकारी है|
नारियल सफ़ेद रंग का पानियुक्त और फाइबरयुक्त होता है| इसलिए वह शरीर मे पित्त और पानी के अंश को संतुलित रखता है |
इसलिए अक्तूबर मे नारियल का ३ तरह से सेवन करना चाहिए |
1. अख्खा नारियल –अक्खे नारियल को पीसकर हर रोज खाने मे इस्तमाल करना चाहिए| क्यूकी नारियल मे फाइबर का प्रमाण अच्छे अंश मे होता है|पिसा हुआ नारियल हम खाने मे इस्तमाल करेंगे तो हमारे शरीर मे कोलेस्ट्रॉल, ट्राइग्लिसराइड आदि (cholesterol, Triglyceride) नही बढेगे|
लेकिन नारियल का तेल निकाल कर उस तेल को हम आहार मे सेवन करेंगे तो वह शरीर में खून मे जमने लगेगा और फिर हमे कोलेस्ट्रॉल, ट्राइग्लिसराइड(Cholesterol, Triglyceride) ऐसी अलग अलग बीमारीयां होने लगती है|
इसलिए अक्तूबर के गर्मी मे हमे खाने मे रोज पिसे हुए नारियल का सेवन करना चाहिए| इससे पचन अच्छा रहता है ,पेट साफ रहता है और कोलेस्ट्रॉल भी नही बढता|
2 . नारियल का पानी – अक्तूबर मे गर्मी और पसीने की वजह से शरीर मे पानी का अंश कम / असंतुलित हो जाता है|इसलिए हमे सिरदर्द, जुलाब, पिशाब मे जलन ,माइग्रेन जैसी बीमारियां होने लगती है| यह बीमारियां न हो या फिर यह बीमारिया होने पर आयुर्वेद मे बताया है की पके हुए नारियल के पानी का सेवन करना चाहिए|
आयुर्वेद के अनुसार कौनसा भी कच्चा फल नही खाना चाहिए|
इसलिए कच्चा नारियल जिसको हम शहाळ बोलते है उसका पानी हजम करने के लिए बहुत भारी होता है|इसलिए आयुर्वेद के नुसार शहाळ याने कच्चे नारियल का पानी नही पीना चाहिए|
पके हुए नारियल मे इलेक्ट्रोलाइट बहुत अच्छी मात्रा मे होते है| इसलिए अगर हम पके हुए नारियल के पानी का सेवन करते है तो गर्मी मे शरीर का पानी और इलेक्ट्रोलाइट संतुलित रहता है और हम बीमार नही पड़ते |
3. नारियल का दूध – नारियल का दूध शीत और पित्तशामक होता है| इसलिए हर रोज के अलग अलग खाने के रेसेपी मे नारियल के दूध का करी, सोलकढी ऐसे विविध तरीके से इस्तमाल करना चाहिए |
इस तरह अक्तूबर की गर्मी से बचने के लिए नारियल का हमे विविध तरह से उपयोग करना चाहिए|
इस प्रकार से अक्टूबर का इम्युनिटी बूस्टर नारियल रोज खाओ और निरोगी रहो|

In our last blog October Immunity booster – COCONUT (part – 1) we learnt that Coconut grows in “Aakash Mahabhuts” i.e. space so it has more constituents of “Aakash Mahabhut” and so it works extremely good or works wonders on parts of the body which have dominance of “Aakaash mahabhut”. These are HEAD, EAR, INTESTINES and BLADDER.
In last blog we learnt about benefits of coconut for HEAD and EAR. In this blog we are learning how coconut is beneficial for INTESTINE and BLADDER?
Coconut is white in colour and has good content of fiber and water. So it balances Pittah and water in body .
So in October heat we should eat coconut in 3 forms.
1. GRATED COCONUT – Start eating coconut in meals every day. Coconut has high fiber content so it doesn’t increase cholesterol and triglyceride if it is eaten along with fibers i.e. in raw form. But when we start extracting oil from it and use oil in cooking then it accumulates in the blood and so our cholesterol , trigylceides and other lipids start increasing.
So in October start eating raw form grated coconut in diet, as it’s high fiber content helps in digestion and keeps bowel movement good .
2. COCONUT WATER – In october ,due to heat and alot of sweating the water electrolyte balance in body gets disturbed and we fall sick with Loose Motion, Acidity, Urine Burning, Migraine, Headache and number of diseases. So to prevent diseases or to cure them ayurveda advices that we should drink coconut water of ripe coconut.
Ayurveda says that no fruit should be eaten in raw form.
So Ayurveda doesn’t advise drinking coconut water of unripe coconut which we get on streets.
So in october we should consume coconut water of ripe coconut everyday. It has good balance of electrolytes in it so it maintains water and electrolyte equilibrium in our body and we remain Healthy.
3. COCONUT MILK – Coconut milk is coolant and balances Pittah in body. So we should be consumed Coconut milk in different recepies like Solkadhi, different curries etc.
So guys now you know that to combact october heat we shuold use Coconut in diet in varied forms.
That is why it is told in Ganpati to start eating Modak beacause it is also made up of Coconut.
So start eating October immunity booster – coconut everyday remain healthy.

पिछले आरोग्य मंत्र ब्लॉग – ०८ मे हमने जाना की “ऋतुचर्या याने ऋतु के नुसार आहार विहार मे बदलाव करने से हमारी प्रतिकार शक्ति अच्छी रहती है|
अभी अक्टूबर की गरमी आ रही है| आयुर्वेद मे इस ऋतु को शरद ऋतु कहते है| शरद ऋतु मे आहार विहार क्या बदलाव करे ये हमे नारली पौर्णिमा मे ही बताए है याने “नारियल खाओ और निरोगी रहो |”
आज का घरेलू नुस्का नंबर – ०६ है
“अक्टूबर का इम्युनिटी बूस्टर है – नारियल- एक सर्वगुण संपन्न फल|”
नारियल को हिंदू संस्कृति मे अनन्यसाधारण महत्व है| इसे श्रीफल कहते है| क्यूकी इसे भगवान को अर्पण करते है और हर एक शुभ कार्य की शुरुवात नारियल से की जाती है| नारियल का धार्मिक और आध्यत्मिक महत्व हम बाद मे जानेंगे|
लेकिन आज २ सितंबर को जागतिक नारियल दिन मनाया जाता है| इस अवसर पर हम नारियल का आरोग्य के दृष्टि से महत्व जरूर जानेंगे |
“निसर्ग पंचमहाभूतो से बना है – पृथ्वी, पानी, तेज, वायु, आकाश|” निसर्ग मे नारियल आकाश मे उत्पन्न होता है इसलिए नारियल का तेल आकाश के याने सफेद रंग का होता है| और जो तेलबीज जमीन मे आते है जैसे तील का तेल,सरसों का तेल वह भूमी के पीत रंग के होते है|
कितना सुन्दर है ना निसर्ग |
नारियल शीत और सफ़ेद रंग का होता है, इसलिए वह पित्त कम करता है| आयुर्वेद नुसार अक्टूबर मे निसर्ग मे गर्मी और शरीर मे पित्त बढ़ता है| इसलिए अक्टूबर का इम्युनिटी बूस्टर है नारियल| तो अब जानते है किस तरह से नारियल का सेवन करने से हम निरोगी रहेंगे|
हमने अभी जाना नारियल आकश मे उत्पन्न होता है| इसलिए इसमे आकाशतत्व की अधिकता होती है| इसलिए वह शरीर के आकाशतत्व वाले अवयवोपे अच्छा काम करता है | कौनसे है यह अवयव ? यह है – सिर, कान और पेट|
१ . सिर –
आपने कभी देखा है नारियल और हमारे सिर मे काफी समानता है |
इसके बाल हमारे बाल, इसका कवच हमारा कवच याने Skull और इसके अंदर जो नारियल है वो हमारे मेंदू के समान है | इसके अंदर जो पानी होता है वो CSF याने सिर मे जो पानी होता है उसके समान होता है | इसलिए नारियल सिर के सब तरह के व्याधि मे बहुत अच्छा काम करता है और इन सब अवयव को पोषण देता है |
इसलिए अब गर्मी से रोज सुबह खाली पेट पका नारियल शक्कर के साथ खाना चाहिए| इससे पित्त संतुलित रहता है और बुद्धि, बाल और मेंदू को पोषण मिलता है| नारियल का तेल बालो के लिए अच्छा है | रोज रात सोते वक्त नारियल के तेल से तलवो को मालिश करनी चाहिए| इससे गर्मी मे होने वाली आखो की जलन कम होती है|
2 . कान –
आयुर्वेद के नुसार कान ये आकाश तत्व का अवयव माना है| इसलिए आकाश के गुण शब्द हमे कान से सुनाई देते है| लेकिन ध्वनि प्रदूषण टी.वी, मोबाइल इनसे कानो मे वात बढता है, और हमे विविध कान की बीमारिया हो सकती है|
इसके लिए आयुर्वेद ने नारियल के तेल से “कर्णपूरन” करने को कहा है |
इससे कानो मे वात संतुलित रहता है और कानो का आरोग्य अच्छा रहता है|
कर्णपूरन याने हफ्ते मे एक दिन कानो मे नारियल के तेल के ४-४ बूंद डालकर १० मिनट लेट जाइए| और १० मिनट के बाद रुई से कानो को अच्छेसे साफ कीजिये| अगर कानो मे तेल रह गया तो फंगस हो सकता है|
आज हमने जाना की नारियल से सिर और कान को कैसे फायदा होता है| अगले ब्लॉग मे हम नारियल पेट के लिए कैसे गुणकारी रहेगा ये जानेंगे|

In our last Health mantra blog – 08 we have learned that “Hritucharya i.e. changes in diet and routine according to season keeps us Healthy.”
Now October heat is coming. “In Ayurved this season is called SHARAD HRITU”.
So what changes to do in diet and routine in Sharad Hritu?…….. the changes are advised from Narali Pournima i.e. start eating coconut.
So today’s Home Remedy No – 06 is
“Immunity Booster of October is – COCONUT.”
Coconut has an indispensible part in the Hindu religion and rituals. “It is referred to as shriphal” or divine fruit. Such is the importance given to Coconut. But about religious or philosophical significance of coconut we will study in our coming blogs.
Today on 2nd September on occasion of “WORLD COCONUT DAY.” We are going to study about the health benefits of coconut.
Universal is made up of 5 elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Space and Air.
Coconut grows in “Aakash mahabhut”. So coconut oil has the colour of Aakash i.e. white and others oil seeds like til, sesame they grow in “Pruthvi Mahabhut.” So they have the colour of Pruthvi i.e. Yellow.
Itsn’t nature fascinating.
Coconut grows in Aakash Mahabhut. So it has more constituents of Aakash. So it works better on parts of body which have more constituents of Aakash.
According to Ayurveda these body part are – Head, Ear, Intestines and Bladder. So lets understands health benefits of coconut to each one of them
1 . HEAD –
Did you ever notice that there is a lot of Smilarity between a coconut and our Head? Coconut has hair, we have hair. It has hard shell, we have skull. The coconut from inside is similar to our brain and water similar to C.S.F. that is a fluid inside our head. That is why, coconut has alot of heath benefits for all the organs of our head.
So with start of October heat ……..
Start eating fresh ripe coconut with sugar in the morning on empty stomach.
So that it balances of Pittah in the body as well as it provides nourishment to Hair, Brain, Eyes and Ears. It is good for hair as well as eyes.
So at bed time we should apply coconut oil to feet and do massage so that our eyes remain cool and remain protected from october heat.
2. EAR –
According to Ayurveda EAR is an “Aakash” Mahabhut dominant organ. So becuase of noise pollution due to TV, mobile, vehicles etc. VAAT increases in Ear and so it leads to a lot of Ear problems like hearing impairement, tinnitus etc. According to Ayurveda, to balance Vaat in ear we should do “KARNA POORAN” with COCONUT OIL.
KARNA POORAN is instilling coconut oil in to Ear.
So once a week we should put 4/4 drops of coconut oil in each ear and lie down for 10 miutes. After 10 minutes when you get up clean your both ears with cotton properly, otherwise if oil remains in ear then it leads to fungal infection.
So in today’s blog we learnt health benefits of coconut for Head and Ear. In our next blog we will learn about its benefits for our Intestine and Bladder.

मतलब हर चीज जो हमे निरोगी रखती है | जैसे कसरत, पौष्टिक अन्न,अच्छी दिनचर्या | लेकीन ऐसे आदर्श दिनचर्या का पालन करने पर भी ऋतु मे बदलाव होने पर हम बीमार पडते है | ऐसा क्यू ?

आयुर्वेद मे ऋतु के नुसार आहार और विहार बदल बताये गए है| उसको कहते है ऋतुचर्या |
हम ठंडी मे गरम कपडे पहेनते है | पर बाकी आहार विहार मे बदलाव नही करते इसलिए बीमार पडते है |
पर अगर हमने ऋतुचर्या का पालन किया तो हम निरोगी रहेंगे |
“ऋतुचर्या” को हम आज की भाषा मे इम्युनिटी बूस्टर कह सकते है |”
तो इम्युनिटी बूस्टर याने कोई चूर्ण या गोली नही |
इम्युनिटी बूस्टर याने ऋतुनुसार आहार विहार मे पूर्ण परिवर्तन करना |
इसलिए हर एक ऋतु के इम्युनिटी बूस्टर अलग रहेंगे | आयुर्वेद मे ०६ ऋतुओ की ०६ ऋतुचर्या बताई है |

Like today is Nagpanchami ……so is there any SCIENCE behind diet and routine advised on Nagpanchami.
Changes in season brings about changes in our body too but we don’t make changes in diet and routine according to change in season so we fall sick.
So how will we know what changes to make in diet and routine to remain Healthy even during season change?
Therefore our ‘Hrishis’ kept festivals during season change, and they advised what diet and routine to be followed during season change as diet and routine of that Festival.

So let’s understand What diet and routine is advised on Nagpanchami?
1. Upvaas – as rainy season is still going on.
2.Don’t Cut and Fry.
3. Milk – Pittah Shamak – Kheer, halwa
Upvaas – Our digestion is governed by sun’s clock.In rainy days as sun is covered with clouds most time of day so our digestive power (agni) is weak. If we eat heavy to digest food then we tend to fall sick.So UPAVAAS is advised.
Do do not CUT and FRY– According to Ayurveda September and October is Pittah prakop Kaal means Pittah is going to increases alot in these month. So as a prevention we are advised to slowly stop eating fried food advised in rainy season.
Milk – Milk we offer to Nagdevta which Symbolically initiates us to start consuming white things as white colour is pittah shamak ie it reduces pittah.
So all things advised on Nagpanchmi are Preventive measures againts october heat .
So our Health Mantra – 05 is
“Start eating white things, do upvaas and reduce eating fried food.”
The diet advised on one festival is not only for that day but that diet and routine should be followed from that festival till next festival.
So follow changes advised on festivals and remain HEALTHY

क्या आप जानते है की हमारे हर एक त्यौहार के पीछे शास्त्र छुपा है ?
चातुर्मास के पीछे भी आरोग्य मंत्र जुड़ा है |
जानना चाहेंगे कैसे ?
पुराने जमाने मे वर्णव्यवस्था नुसार कुछ वर्ण के लोगो को शास्त्र का ज्ञान था…. तो अन्य वर्ण के लोग निरोगी रहे इसलिए शास्त्र के सिद्धान्त धर्म के उपदेश के साथ बताए गए ताकि धर्म का पालन करके लोग निरोगी रहे |
तो जानते है चातुर्मास के पीछे छुपा शास्त्र |
चातुर्मास मतलब – चातु याने चार और मास याने महीने |
चातुर्मास याने बारिश के चार महीने |
चातुर्मास की शुरुवात बारिश के आने से होती है | हर राज्य मे बारिश शुरू होने की तारीखे थोड़ी आगे पीछे होती है इसलिए हर राज्य मे चातुर्मास की शुरुवात भी थोडी आगे पीछे होती है |
आयुर्वेदनुसार अपने शरीर की पचनशक्ती सूरज की शक्ती से जुड़ी होती है। तो इन चार बारिश के महीनो मे सुरज बादलो से घिरा होता है इसलिए हमारी पचनशक्ती भी बहुत कम हुई होती है | इसलिए चातुर्मास मे उपवास को महत्व है |
बारिश मे पचन शक्ती कम होने पर अगर हम खाने मे भारी पदार्थ खाये जैसे fermented products या दही ,पनीरआदि तो हम जरूर बीमार पड़ते है | इसलिए इस मौसम मे हमे सर्दी ,खांसी ,पेटदर्द ,उल्टी ,जुलाब जैसी बीमारीया अधिक होती है |
चातुर्मास में बताया गया है कि “ उपवास ” करे|उपवास करने से हमारी पचन शक्ती अच्छी रहती है |
उपवास का मतलब – कम अन्न खाये , हल्का अन्न खाये |
इसलिए शास्त्रो के नुसार धर्म ने साल के जादा से जादा उपवास इन चार महीनो मे बिठाये है ताकि हम उपवास करके निरोगी रह सके |
तो आज का हमारा आरोग्य मंत्र – ०२ है – ” चातुर्मास / बारिश के दिनों में उपवास करेऔर निरोगी रहे | ”

Do you know that there is science behind all festivals and rituals?
“Chaturmaas also has science behind it ?”
In early days ,according to “ Varna System” only Brahmins knew all the Shatra (Knowledge /Science).So to maintain health and well being of other varnya people who never read shastra…..Shatra teachings were told with Dharma and people were asked to follow Dharma.
So that all people followed dharma and indirectly followed shatra and remained healthy.
So what is science behind Chaturmas ?
Chatu means– 4 four and Maas means – month
Chaturmas means 4 months of rainy days.
Chaturmas marks the start of rainy day. As rain starts on different dates in different states so the chaturmas dates vary in all states.
According to ayurveda, our digestion is governed by sun.In rainy days, sun most of the time is covered with clouds. So in rainy days, our digestive power is poor/ weak..
If we consume heavy to digest food or large quantity food in this season, then as digestive power is less , we tend to fall sick with cough, cold ,loose motion ,vomiting etc.
So the science behind chaurmas is
“Do fasting in Chaturmas”
Fasting /upwas means- Eat light food , Eat less quantity food.
So it we eat light and less quantity food then our digestive power remains good and so does our health .
Therefore almost all the fasts of the year are kept by dharma in rainy days so that we follow them and indirectly follow science and thus remain healthy .
So Health Mantra no – 2 is “Do fasting in rainy days to remain healthy” .
But fasting should be done properly to avail it benefits .“ How to do fasting?” will be discussed in our next blog.

In last blog we discussed that doing fast /upwas keeps us healthy.
But if fast is not done properly then instead of health we land up in diseases.
So let us understand first “What is the real meaning of word “Upwas”ie fasting ?
Upwaas means….Up – Inside and Vaas-Going
Upvaas means “Going inside ourself and meditating on internal power/God/Aatma.“
Almost all the upvaas of the year come in these four rainy months of CHATURMAAS.
WHY?
Because science was told in the form of dharma for everyone to follow and remain healthy.
Dharma says that Lord Vishnu goes in deep “Yognidra”in these four months.
It symbolically initiates us to start doing meditation.
In ancient days , in rainy season not much of outside work used to be there for people so sitting at home people would become idle and will eat more and fall sick or become lazy.
To avoid this, it was told by Dharma that do fasting and meditation.
As fasting keeps us alert and healthy and thus helps in meditation.
Following dharma people started doing upvaas and remained healthy as well achieved mental peace by meditating.
So the actual motto behind fasting was to achieve mind peace through meditation but we don’t do all this during fasting .
We just hurriedly visit temple ,take darshan and eat heavy upwaas varieties.
We neither meditate in house nor in temple .
So with time real motto of upwaas is forgotten.
Let us revive the science behind fasting .
On the day of fast, let’s start meditating for sometime, so gradually by the end of Chaturmaas , by meditating with fasting , we would achieve fruits of mental peace.
So hope you fast doing upwaas with meditation in this chaturmaas and achieve MENTAL PEACE.

Ayurveda states that, in rainy season VAAT increases and VAAT creates all kinds of pains- joint pain, body pain, pain in abdomen
So the Painkiller of rainy season is – OIL
Even consuming oil in this season is advised by ayurveda so if you’re not suffering from any major diseases like hypertension or cholesterol or obesity then oil is very good for this season.
So you can consume fried food ( anyways we get tempted to eat BHAJIS ) in this season.
So our Painkiller for the rainy season is OIL.

Seeing the cases increasing at such a tremendous speed and the complications of fungus being vision loss….It is better to take maximum preventive measures and stay safe from the disease.
As for fungus, we should understand in which environment does fungus grow faster….The answer is very simple…..Unhygienic and humid climate.
So the preventive measures would also be on same lines i.e……Hygiene and dry ventilated climate.
– Stay in well ventilated rooms
– Minimise use of Air conditioners
– Use clean masks and cloths. Avoid sharing each other’s mask, towels , pillows , handkerchiefs etc.
– Disinfect intimate clothing with dettol , dry them properly or iron them.
Ayurvedic Perspective –
1) Ayurveda says that for any disease to happen the balance in Panchamahabhutas I.e. earth (pruthvi), water (jal) , fire (tej), air (vaayu) ,and space (aakash) should be disturbed.
So according to ayurveda, if water is favouring the growth of fungus then eatables and environment having more water should be avoided.
2) Ayurveda states that as fungus grows fast on things which become stale fast, spoil fast….So such things should be avoided. On other hand, the things which when kept at room temperature doesn’t spoil fast have good potency in them like awla, honey etc
So it’s easy to make list of eatables-
– Most important according to ayurveda is AVOID MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS COMPLETELY.
-Avoid fermented products and products which spoil very fast when kept at room temperature like bakery products like bread, cake
– Prefer dry, roasted things like chapati to rice, pops to gravies.
-Prefer spicy things to sweet things.
-Prefer soups to cold drinks
And MOST IMPORTANTLY keep IMMUNITY high by following healthy lifestyle that is early to bed early to rise, eat on time and MOST IMPORTANT EXERCISE.
Sweating after exercise improves skin circulation ,opens pore and helps in proper excretion of dirt through sweat also helps maintain body temperature…But taking a proper bath after exercise is equally important…And proper drying after bath.
DANTAMANJAN- After brushing teeth….Apply DANTAMANJAN POWDER to gums, teeth and tongue….Keep it for 4 mins and then wash off with warm water.
DHUMPAAN – that is taking medicated fumes of triphala powder to nose and mouth.(not steam…No water…Burn the powder on pan)
UDAVARTAN -Apply dry medicated powder or triphala powder (utane/ubatan) to skin after bath.
TRIPHALA is very good for skin so 1 teaspoon triphala powder on empty stomach in the morning keeps bowel, digestion, skin healthy and immunity high.
And last but not the least as it is a communicable disease
MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING.

Seeing present health conditions we are reminded of the basic law of ecosystem…..Survival of the fittest.
Human being are also a part of ecosystem so the law applies to us too.
A species of ecosystem…virus…is attacking human species….so to survive we must be THE FITTEST of the two.
So the answer to this pandemic is….Survival of fittest.
So we should be physically and most important MENTALLY at our fittest to survive.
The virus is following the rules of ecosystem…it is changing its strains…to become stronger and survive.
Then we should also be ready to CHANGE and become stronger to survive.
Changing to Physical and mental fitness is answer for survival.
Physical fitness is simple but mental fitness is challenging.
Achieving Physical fitness-
Mind rules the body. So mind fitness is more important. Mind keeps your appetite and immunity high.
CHANGES for Mental fitness-
Most important is don’t fear the name. If your test comes positive….don’t panic…its just a FLU….in a war you can’t be weakened by the name of the enemy.

Our health is governed by sun’s clock. So if we follow sun’s clock we remain heaLthy.
In today’s busy ,target oriented , deadline schedules it becomes difficult to manage time of eating ……so we land up in the universal problem of ACIDITY.
Acidity is a very vague term….it means different things for everyone. For someone acidity is burning in stomach , for others it is indigestion. There is a big list of symptoms which are coined as acidity- burning in chest, pain in abdomen, indigestion, gases, constipation……in short alll ends up in digestion disturbances.
Lets understand acidity with two simple examples-
Same is the case in our stomach……heat is necesary for any trasformation ….so our body secrets acids to transform food into body cells…..and that digestive fire is governed by sun’s clock as explained by ayurveda.
So the solution to THIS BIG PROBLEM OF ACIDITY is very simple.
FOLLOW TIME
We know ” Time is Money” ………..but we dont know “ Time is HEALTH too”
If dont manage finance daily…it goes haywire….
If we dont follow time in office…work becomes haywire…..
Same ways…if we dont follow time of eating……health becomes haywire……
It doesnt take an hour or two to eat….just 10 minutes….manage atleast 2 times of day…..Time of BREAKFAST 8AM nad Time of LUNCH 12NOON.
No one is telling you to compromise work and all…..just manage it…..Imagine you go to office at 8 and you are not given any work till 2 or 3…then you are overloaded with work after that….what will happen…..when you are fresh you dont get work…..and when you are lethargic you are given work….your work is sure to be compromised , the same work will take longer time to be done than if it was given on time.
Same is case with our body….it takes 3 to 4 hours for body to complete the digestion process….its work is more miraculous than our’s…transforming food into our body cells……body is waiting from 8 am….you eat at 2 or 3 …by then its acids are diluted….so the digeston and output is sure to be compromised one…plus it will take way longer time to digest the same food…
So the KILL ACIDITY MANTRA is very simple
Give body food on time….atleast follow 2 timings ….fixed….8am breakfast and 12 noon lunch.
Its take few minutes…plus body also has to do its 3 hours job. You feed it at 8 am in 10 mins…let it also work on its job and you do your work….by 12 its work is over.Fresh energy and glucose for your body and mind is ready. Your energy levels too remain high and even immunity is boosted. Next 10 minutes for lunch at 12 noon …..and body is afresh with fresh digestive juices for next work and you too for your work.
It is better to eat whatever is available on TIME than eating late.
So the ACIDITY MANTRA IS 8-12

Recently heard alot about ” Dopamin detox” as how abstinence from desire and devices will lead to setting mind in balance, refreshed and rejuvenated. So being an Ayurveda practitioner i wanted to bring Ayurveda perspective into light about this.
Ages before our hrishis knew that controlling senses can lead to great health benefits so they added many scientific ideas of keeping health to our tradition and named them as DHARMA. Dharma litterally means a person’s riteous duty towards his body , mind, family and society.
Many concepts of once a day fasting, once a month fasting , shravan fasting (one month fasting) , chaaturmaas ( four month fasting) were started with an idea of mind and body detox. So you stay away from food and desires and spend time in temple. Temple was a place outside the village, away from everyone, with peace, cool envirnment inside to spend the day in devine thoughts.
But when you are ill or due to irregular routines , stress ….. body accumulates toxins inside so in such a situation only fasting will not help…….so our rishis formulated PANCHAKARMA. In panchakarma you achieve mind as well as body detox.
In panchakarma, you stay in isolated places near to nature in clean clear environment, away from devices so mind detox is achieved. For 15 days you are served only health food and only in the amount required for surviving so your body detox starts.
How PANCHAKARMA works?
In PANCHAKARMA, your digestive system is used for purification….suppose a machine is to be put on for purification mode then its basic function should be stopped…..in same ways….if your digestive system is to be used for purification…then its everyday eating should be minimised to eating only that much food which is required to survive….then only our digestive system will get time to remove out toxins.
In first 15 days (purification part of Panchakarma) , basic food is given, medicinal ghee is given in large amount which will work for removing toxins from body. Patients is asked to follow abstinence and no desires and devices. Anything which increases your food requirement is also avoided like even exercise is avoided.
In next 15 days ( strengthening part of Panchakarma), you are given healthy diet and taught all forms of yoga and meditation and medicated ghee for strengthening body is given….this is called RASAYAN which increases your body and mind strength and vigour.
So Panchakarma proves to be benefiting a person with dopamin detox as well body purification and strengthening

Our ancient hrishies through their wisdom achieved through deep meditation knew that every plant has medicinal property if taken in proper quantity and in proper season.
So they studies the properties of all plants. The plants which had a pleasent taste as well which had medicinal property to keep our digestion, metabolism and excretion good were selected. For example – Ginger for digestion, coriander seeds for urine excretion, ajwain as flatulent etc
All these plants were then further studied so to understand their active ingredient solubility…i.e. if they are water soluble, oil soluble or ghee soluble….so preparations were made keeping in mind their solubility. For example…cumin seeds are mostly used with ghee and mustard seeds are used with oil preparations.
Next there combination properties were studies….and they found few combinations are extra beneficial and others are harmful to health…like milk and fruits together were found to be harmful to health….making you prone to diabetes and skin diseases…so such were avoided.
Later they studied which plants are beneficial in which season and they formulated receipes for those seasons. For example- Methi ladoos for winter season, modak for october heat etc.
They even found few things harmful in few seasons and advised their restrictions like curd in rainy season was strictly asked to be avoid.
Few plants were not to be eaten in raw form so they were advised to be soaked in buttermilk or salt water to remove harmful elements from them. For example suran (Elephant foot yam) is soaked in buttermilk to neutralise calcium oxalate enxymes in suran.
Here i would like to bring your attention to one thing that nowadays many people practice i.e….eating everything raw…..our digestive sysytem in stone age was able to digest raw forms but with evolution now our digestive system cant digest only raw forms. Plus few things in raw form are especially harmful if taken everyday for a long duration….for example …now a days people dring bottle gourd juice, karela juice, aloe vera juice in raw form….these plants are very bitter and if taken for long will lead to disesases rather than health like ulcers, fissures etc.
This is how our ” PAAK- KRUTI” is actually a SCIENCE of cooking and not anything is made anyhow. For example- proteins are digested better with ghee so all sweet besan receipes have ghee with it and in pinch of sunth in it to help digest it properly like laddos, puranpoli etc.
All these plants along with spieces IN SPECIFIC COMBINATION help in keeping us healthy.
So study the science behind all our ancient recipes before making any unhealthy changes in it.

As discussed earlier in our last blog ” HOW TO KEEP IMMUNITY HIGH” , Immunity is lifestyle change according to change in season…..which our hrishi’s named as “HRITUCHARYA” (Change in diet and routine according to season)
” As in nature so in our body”
In rainy season, WETNESS, SOURNESS, VAAT (AIR) ,COLDNESS increases in environment as well in our body. So we tend to fall sick with diseases that increase these qualities in body.

So diet and routine opposite to above will keep mahabhutas in balalnce in our body and thus keep us healthy…in short it will keep our immunity high.
The MANTRA for IMMUNITY of rainy season would be-
DRY, SPICY, OIL, HOT,LIGHT
So the ideal routine would be –
So IMMUNITY Mantra is Avoid – WET,SOUR, COLD, HEAVY TO DIGEST
To sum up, nature provides different things in different seasons to maintain health.Like in summer season heat increases alot so nature provide us with all watery, citrous, sweet, juicy fruits to maintain health. And the same nature doesn’t give any fruits in rainy season.
So , we should maintain health by eating seasonal fruits and vegetables and following HRITUCHARYTA.
The RAINY SEASON hritucharya ( called as VARSHA HRITUCHARYA) can be coined in today’s terms as “IMMUNITY BOOSTERS OF RAINY SEASON”)
LIFE IS CHANGE…AND NATURE MAINTAINS ITSELF BY ACCEPTING THIS CHANGE
So let us also accept HRITUCHARYA and enjoy HEALTHY RAINY SEASON.

For that we should have some knowledge (not information) about basic principles of Ayurveda so that we could make correct choices.
Present era is of information and marketing , so much of information is present on net that we can’t differentiate what is correct and what is wrong especially about AYURVEDA and herbal.
Universe is made up of five basic elements called PANCH- MAHABHUTAS . Earth ( Pruthvi), Water ( Jal), Fire ( Tej) , Air ( Vaayu) and Space ( Aakash).
BALANCE in these Mahabhutas maintain Nature. But imbalance in these Mahabhutas lead to natural calamities like earthquake, cyclone etc. Nature tries to maintain this balance by making changes to restore balance in mahabhutas. For example- In summer season HEAT increases, when heat increases alot by the end of season, then nature pours down water and the season changes to rainy season and nature thus maintains its balance.
On same principles, our body is also made up of these basic five elements. Balance in these mahabhutas is HEALTH. And imbalance in these mahabhutas causes DISEASE. Our rishis studied what impact these changes in nature has on our body , and advised a set of SEASONAL changes in diet and routine called as HRITUCHARYA following which we could keep mahabhutas in our body in balance and enjoy Health.
NATURE changes itself to maintain balance in mahabhutas . So with change in nature, if we will follow the changes advised by our rishis i.e. HRITUCHARYA , then we too will be able to maintain balance in mahabhutas in our body and thus remain HEALTHY.
IMMUNITY is nothing but remaining HEALTHY. So this HRITUCHARYA can be coined in today’s term as immunity. Immunity can’t be just a tablet or kadha which will keep you healthy, it has to be a full diet and lifestyle guideline according to seasonal change.
AYURVEDA is a science and it brings immense joy and respect towards those enlightened rishis who have framed so much detailed health design for us. Its our ignorence that we don’t follow their advices and keep on running after shortcuts and inviting dozens of disease.
NATURE also helps us in all possible ways to maintain health. It provide us with those fruits and vegetables which will help maintain balance / health in that season. For example- in summer season, there is alot of heat in environment, water is lost through perspiration…..so nature provides us with all juicy , pulpy fruits in this season .In rainy season, appetite is less and there is alot water in nature so nature stops providing fruits. So health can’t be achieved by eating everything in all seasons ( as now a days , everything , is grown forcibly and made available in all seasons)…..but health is achieved by changing according to season and accepting what is provided by nature in that season.
Such are the wonders of NATURE and AYURVEDA , who are providing everything to keep us healthy. But we run after advertisements , shortcuts and some magic immunity pills.
So immunity is following HRITUCHARYA and eating seasonal food.
Now you know, immunity boosters can’t be same for all seasons. LIFE IS CHANGE .So if we too keep changing our lifestyle in tune with nature……immunity will be high always.
I hope you could gather a wider perspective about looking at immnity from this article. And this knowledge will help you in making correct choices.
